L’Enseignement Mathématique – International Journal was founded in 1899 and is dedicated to publishing research articles across various mathematical fields. Particular emphasis is placed on contributions that are at least partially accessible to a broad community of mathematicians.
Since Volume 60 (2015), the journal has been published by the European Mathematical Society (EMS) under the Subscribe to Open (S2O) model. As a result, all issues released between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2025, are available in Open access.
L’Enseignement Mathématique also serves as the official journal of the International Commission on Mathematical Instruction (ICMI) and is supported by the Fondation l'Enseignement Mathématique.
